Intel argued that NVIDIA was not licensed to manufacture chipsets that are compatible with Intel's latest microprocessors; NVIDIA countersued, filing a massive counterclaim alleging Intel's lawsuit was an attempt to eliminate NVIDIA as a competitive threat. In January 2011, Intel capitulated, agreeing to pay NVIDIA $1.5 billion over the next five years.

Defeated certification of nationwide classes of indirect and direct purchasers in multidistrict antitrust litigation involving federal and state price-fixing and consumer claims for computer graphics processing units (GPUs) on behalf of NVIDIA.
