Cooley represented Wheeler Bio in the closing of its $35 million Series A-1 financing round. This funding will support Wheeler Bio’s ongoing efforts to expand its capabilities and accelerate the advancement of its partners’ therapies. Lawyers Sale Kwon and Emily Lee led the Cooley team advising Wheeler Bio, a developer of biomanufacturing services designed to translate therapeutic innovations into clinical impact.

Cooley represented Japanese-founded RegCell in its transition to being a US-based company in connection with the closing of $45.8 million of funding, consisting of $8.5 million in seed financing – co-led by The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners and Fast Track Initiative – and up to $37.3 million in nondilutive funding from Japan’s Agency for Medical Research and Development. Lawyers Dave Peinsipp, Sale Kwon and Yichen Liu led the Cooley team advising RegCell, a developer of cell therapies intended to treat autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Cooley represented Auditoria.AI in its $38 million Series B financing led by Innovius Capital, with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, Sentinel Global and existing investors including Venrock, Neotribe Ventures, Engineering Capital and KPMG Ventures. Partner Sale Kwon led the Cooley team advising Auditoria.AI, an artificial intelligence-driven software as a service automation provider for corporate finance that automates finance processes in vendor management, accounts payable and receivable, and accruals to accelerate cash performance.

Cooley represented ANAFLASH in its strategic acquisition of Legato Logic, accelerating the company’s development of non-volatile compute-in-memory tech and driving progress toward battery-powered intelligent sensors. Specializing in non-volatile edge artificial intelligence (AI) processor technology, ANAFLASH develops processors with non-volatile memory integrating low-power AI acceleration engines. Lawyers Sale Kwon and Jeff Beuche led the Cooley team representing ANAFLASH.

Cooley advised Genvax Technologies, an Ames, Iowa-based startup dedicated to bringing advances in RNA vaccine production to animal health, on its Series Seed Plus financing round. Lawyers Sale Kwon and Andrew Mettry led the Cooley team advising Genvax.
