Hemp Breeding and Seed Production Academy

Led by industry professionals, this two-day course is designed to enhance the knowledge of those working on hemp improvement and propagation. The course covers hemp seed production topics, including flowering, pollination, seed development, harvesting and certification. Participants will also learn about hemp genomics, genetics, sex expression, types of cultivars with corresponding breeding schemes and intellectual property protection options.
Cooley lawyers Dan Knauss and Chris Holly will provide participants an executive summary overview of the core concepts involved with developing, monitoring, and enforcing an intellectual property estate around hemp innovation, offering up key insights and best practices.
