Genome Startup Day 2020
Event summary
Cooley is a proud sponsor of the Genome Startup Day 2020. Launched in 2019, the Genome Startup Day initiative provides support and mentorship for postdocs and graduate students who are interested in pursuing a genomics career beyond academia but aren’t sure where to begin. Through virtual and in-person events, Genome Startup Day is also a community-building catalyst for genomics startup founders, investors, service providers, media and job seekers who share a commitment to building a thriving future for genomics commercialization.
Building on the success of the inaugural Genome Startup Day in fall of 2019, the footprint for 2020 will be expanded to connect students, startup founders and investors from across the United States for this virtual event. Genome Startup Day 2020 will feature some of the country’s brightest genomics startup founders, VCs from opposite coastlines and a behind-the-scenes look at an international research-industry collaboration targeting an imminent threat to the world’s food supply. With the expanded footprint and global talent, this event is anticipated to reach a more broad and diverse audience than previous Genome Startup Day events.
