Event summary

Join Cooley for a virtual fireside chat with FCC Commissioner Nathan Simington and former FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell, Cooley partner and co-leader of its global communications practice, who will discuss key issues affecting communications and technology companies and investors.

Commissioner Simington was nominated to the FCC by the president and was confirmed by the Senate in December 2020. He previously served as senior advisor at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration where he worked on telecommunications policy, including spectrum allocation and planning, broadband access and the Internet. He also served as senior counsel to Brightstar Corp, an international mobile device services company, and led and negotiated telecommunications equipment and services transaction with leading providers.
