Austin Venture Association and CBI Group partnered with Cooley and CyberCompass to offer an intimate workshop – featuring top practitioners and legal counsel – to help private equity and venture capital firms, and their portfolio companies, efficiently create an effective information security and privacy program.
As cyber and privacy compliance requirements continue to increase, organizations must stay vigilant and follow best practices. This workshop, which was aimed at leaders and directors facing information security, privacy and compliance issues, provided practical methods for protecting sensitive data and developing cyber resilience. Via case studies and interactive sessions, attendees gained hands-on experience in building a resilient cyber culture that will survive and thrive.

During this session, Cooley special counsel Kris Kleiner led attendees through the legal ramifications of privacy regulations and how to avoid the pitfalls associated with privacy compliance.
