Randy Sabett, a cyber/data/privacy special counsel at Cooley, spoke on this panel alongside Matt DeVoe, chief information security officer at Zoetis, and Eben Kaplan, director of strategic advisory services at CrowdStrike.
Boards are more involved in cybersecurity than ever. Security leaders who work effectively with boards have an opportunity to drive better outcomes for their teams and organizations. This session focused on strategies to achieve that success, such as defining the board’s role, identifying education opportunities, partnering on cyber risk management and preparing for incidents. The presenters shared their own experiences working with boards, including strategies that worked, strategies that didn’t and where to anticipate board oversight moving in the future.
