The rapid evolution of AI poses new challenges for venture capital (VC) firms in several key areas – including refining due diligence processes for AI investments and leveraging AI internally to optimize operational efficiency.
This session highlighted the numerous considerations related to using and/or formally deploying AI technology to enhance the organizational setup and logistical operations of a VC fund. Discussion topics broadly addressed risk control for internal use of AI – including data sharing and protection on generative AI platforms, legally and ethically sound adoption of readily available AI-powered tools for funds and their portfolio companies, as well as best practices for constructing smart, fund-specific AI use policies.
