Palo Alto, Calif. – November 15, 2013 – Cooley LLP announced today that partner Michael Rhodes was named MVP by Law360 in the privacy and consumer protection category. This is the third year in a row that Rhodes has received this distinction, a feat achieved by only two other attorneys in the United States.

According to Law360 Rhodes' ability to find "creative solutions to legal dilemmas faced by clients... requires a special talent for navigating the uncharted waters of tech law, something [he] has in spades."

Rhodes, who is based in San Francisco and San Diego, serves as co-chair of the firm's internet and privacy practices. He has one of the nation's leading privacy practices, representing Facebook in many of its privacy class actions and currently handling multiple privacy class actions and/or data breach class actions for Google, LinkedIn, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Living Social, HTC and Provide Commerce. Cooley's privacy practice has 40 attorneys nationwide and is among the most well-known in the country.
