Prominent Life Sciences Patent Partner Joins Cooley

Palo Alto – June 29, 2016 – Cooley is expanding its patent counseling & prosecution practice with the arrival of acclaimed partner Mika Reiner Mayer, whose practice focuses on patent due diligence, strategic portfolio management and patent prosecution. Mayer joins from Morrison & Foerster, where she co-founded and led the venture intellectual property group and also led the medical device patent group. She will be based in Palo Alto.

Widely known for her strategic insights and deep understanding of business, Mayer is the go-to diligence counsel in Silicon Valley for life science companies and their investors. She is one of the most sought-after lawyers in life sciences patent prosecution for startup and established companies alike.
