Two Cooley Lawyers Join The Lawyer’s Hot 100

January 30, 2017

London – January 30, 2017 – The Lawyer recognised Cooley tax partner Natasha Kaye and Sascha Grimm, litigation associate, in its annual Hot 100.

Kaye has a broad corporate tax advisory and transactional practice advising on UK and international direct and indirect tax issues in relation to corporate, real estate, outsourcing and IP transactions and planning. She also advises institutions and management teams on private equity transactions, as well as advising more generally on cross border M&A, reorganisations, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. She is a member of Cooley’s management committee and a member of the LexisPSL Tax Consulting Editorial Board. Most recently, Kaye advised on the sale of Swiftkey to Microsoft, DraftKings’ merger with FanDuel, Gymbox’s investment from BGF and HSBC and F-star’s $1 billion collaboration with Denali.

Grimm’s practice spans commercial litigation, anti-corruption, regulatory advice and IP litigation. Recently, she worked on a large-scale regulatory investigation and advised a client on using civil and criminal remedies to tackle cybercrime. In addition, she has acted for one of the four defendants in a high-profile claim arising from the sale of Formula One and in trademark infringement proceedings in the High Court on behalf of a major, global online retailer. Grimm was named to City AM’s Power 100 Women list in 2016 and was recognised by WeAreTheCity as a Rising Star for her role as chair and co-founder of Women in Law London (WILL). In May 2016, she published an article in The Huffington Post on changing the rhetoric around women in law experiencing career success.
