Jive Communications Sells to LogMeIn for $342 Million

Boston – March 8, 2018 – Cooley advised Jive Communications, a leading provider of cloud-based phone systems and unified communications services, on its agreement to sell to LogMeIn. The deal is expected to close in Q2. Partners Miguel Vega and Joshua Rottner led the team advising Jive on the transaction. 

Jive will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of LogMeIn. Under the terms of the agreement, LogMeIn will pay $342 million in cash upon close for all outstanding equity interests in Jive, subject to potential working capital and other adjustments. 

The deal will accelerate LogMeIn’s overall unified communications and collaboration strategy, bolster the company’s popular collaboration portfolio, bringing together its market-leading offerings like GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, OpenVoice and join.me with Jive’s innovative and award-winning unified communications products, and build on Jive’s leadership in the unified-communications-as-a-service space.
