Leading Financial Services Regulatory Partner Joins Cooley
Boston – October 19, 2018 – Kenneth Juster is joining Cooley’s Boston office as a partner in the financial services regulatory practice. He was formerly a partner at White & Case.
“Ken is a respected authority across a range of financial services regulatory matters, from broker-dealer law to funding platforms to blockchain, and he has worked closely with Cooley partners and our clients on many high-profile matters,” said Alfred Browne, partner and co-chair of Cooley’s fintech practice. “His wide-ranging experience, especially with broker-dealer and investment adviser regulations, will be an invaluable asset to clients, building out our financial regulatory capabilities.”
Juster focuses his practice on all aspects of laws and regulations applicable to broker‐dealers, investment advisers, alternative trading systems and securities trading. He has also advised emerging and established companies on the development and operation of funding portals and online capital-raising platforms, including in the venture capital, angel investing, crowdfunding and private and public securities markets.
“Cooley’s dynamic and respected fintech platform is a great match for my practice, especially as we continue to see a changing regulatory landscape,” said Juster. “I’ve had the pleasure to know and work alongside several Cooley partners over the years. The firm’s longstanding reputation for unparalleled teamwork, in addition to its fast-growing and elite client base, is very compelling. I’m eager to add my skill set to the mix to help clients clear regulatory hurdles.”
In addition to his law firm experience, Juster spent more than six years working in high-profile positions at broker-dealers, including LPL Financial. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his JD from Fordham Law School.
Cooley’s cross-disciplinary support for fintech companies runs the full legal spectrum from corporate formation, venture and private equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings to regulatory counseling, intellectual property protection, privacy and data security, employment matters and litigation.
