Cooley Lawyers Ranked in IFLR1000 Asia-Pacific

Three Cooley partners were recognized in the IFLR1000 2023 Asia-Pacific rankings in the areas of M&A and private equity. Ruomu Li was noted as highly regarded for both private equity and M&A, Christina Zhang was recognized as a notable practitioner for M&A, and Yiming Liu was noted as a rising star partner for M&A. Ruomu and Christina were also recognized as Women Leaders in their respective practices.

Ruomu Li focuses her practice on complex mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions and venture capital investments. She has over 17 years of experience in a broad range of transactions in the life sciences and technology industries, including buy-side and sell-side public and private mergers, going private transactions, de-SPAC transactions, stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures, spinoffs, join ventures and minority investments.

Christina Zhang has nearly 30 years of practice experience, gained by working in private practice and in house in the US and China. She has represented clients in financings, licensing and partnership transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, and marketing activities in China and the US.

Yiming Liu is partner in charge of the firm’s Shanghai office. He focuses his practice on capital markets and representing companies and investment funds in strategic transactions in the life sciences and technology industries. He regularly advises clients on structuring, negotiation and documentation in a wide range of cross-border transactions.
