New York – June 25, 2024 – For the fourth consecutive year, Cooley earned an A grade on the Law Firm Climate Change Scorecard published annually by Law Students for Climate Accountability (LSCA).
The scorecard ranks Vault 100 law firms according to how much fossil fuels work they engaged in since 2019. The scores are based on LSCA’s evaluations of the litigation, transactional and lobbying work each firm is doing – or not doing – on behalf of clients exacerbating climate change, or in the alternative, by handling matters mitigating climate change or working on behalf of renewable energy clients. To receive an A grade, firms must meet certain criteria in at least one of the three categories, along with meeting the criteria for a B grade in categories where the firm does not score an A.
