Cooley CEO Named Among Forbes’ Women to Watch in 2025

Rachel Proffitt recognized with power rising listing

Palo Alto – December 11, 2024 – Cooley partner and CEO Rachel Proffitt was featured among Forbes’ women to watch in 2025, which recognizes women who are entering the new year with momentum on their side. Proffitt’s optimism for the new year was noted in the piece, where she said, “Ideation is not stopping. Entrepreneurs will be entrepreneurs regardless of the market.”

The firm also was recognized as one of the top 50 law firms in the US, having overseen more than $500 billion worth of mergers and acquisitions deals since 2020.

Proffitt’s inclusion on the power rising list was in the broader context of Forbes’ 21st annual ranking of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Earlier this year, Proffitt also was named to Forbes’ inaugural list of America’s Top 200 lawyers.
