Regulators Sharpen Risk Focus on National Security R&D Investment

Cooley lawyers Grant Schweikert and Umer Chaudhry co-authored an article for Bloomberg Law on federal scrutiny of US tech funding. They analyzed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s reports on foreign threat actors using complex ownership structures of private equity and venture capital firms to get access to sensitive assets from startups, early-stage companies and their investors.
