Cooley advised Qiming Venture Partners on the closing of a $620 million venture capital fund, Qiming Venture Partners V, L.P., Qiming's fifth US dollar-denominated fund. Founded in 2006, Qiming is a leading Chinese venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in Chinese internet and consumer, healthcare, information technology and cleantech sectors.

Jordan Silber, Robert Bao and Jingyi Xu advised Qiming Venture Partners on this fund formation.

Cooley advised GGV Capital (GGV) on the closing of its new funds totaling $1.88 billion. The new funds include GGV Capital VII and VII Plus, GGV Discovery II and GGV Capital VII Entrepreneurs Fund.

Cooley advised Qiming Venture Partners on the closing of its sixth family of venture capital funds, Qiming Venture Partners VI, with total commitments of $935 million.

Cooley advised Gaorong Capital on the oversubscribed closing of its fifth flagship US dollar fund at $1.15 billion, bringing the firm’s assets under management to about $4 billion. Lawyers Jordan Silber, Xun Zeng and Jingyi Xu led the Cooley team advising Gaorong.
