Join us for an insightful fireside chat and happy hour featuring Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Nathan Simington and former FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell, Cooley partner and chair of the firm’s global communications practice. In one of our first-ever spacetech-focused events, our distinguished speakers will discuss key FCC policies and issues affecting space companies and investors.
Simington was nominated to the FCC by President Donald Trump during his first term and confirmed by the US Senate in 2020. He previously served as senior advisor at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), where he worked on telecommunications policy, including spectrum allocation and planning, broadband access, and the internet. Simington also served as senior counsel to Brightstar, an international mobile device services company, where he led and negotiated telecommunications equipment and services transactions with top providers.
