Travere Sells Bile Acid Product Portfolio to Mirum

San Diego – July 18, 2023 – Cooley advised Travere Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company, on its definitive agreement to sell its bile acid product portfolio to Mirum Pharmaceuticals for up to $445 million. The Cooley team was led by M&A lawyers Rama Padmanabhan and Lindsey O’Crump and life sciences lawyers Charity Williams and John Forrest.

Mirum will purchase all of Travere’s rights and assets related to Cholbam and Chenodal, two medications addressing rare diseases in high-need settings, for up to $445 million, consisting of $210 million upfront and $235 million in potential sales-based milestone payments.
