Cooley Again Named Among Key Players in Indian Legal Market
For the second consecutive year, Cooley was recognized on India Business Law Journal’s list of key players – a report drawing from an analysis of 600+ law firms that recorded deals and disputes with an Indian connection in the past year. The firm was praised for its work advising “innovative and disruptive Indian emerging companies.”
Specifically, the publication noted Cooley’s role in advising ChrysCapital on its $700 million continuation fund and simultaneous sale and purchase of a stake in India’s National Stock Exchange, along with advising Zepto on its $200 million Series E financing, which made the company India’s first 2023 unicorn.
One client praised the firm, saying, “Compared to other international law firms, Cooley offers a more collaborative, personalized and industry-specific approach.” The client added, “Rishab Kumar excels in corporate transactions and strategic advisory services” and “has deep connections within the startup ecosystem.”
Indian Business Law Journal bases its rankings on meticulous research and extensive consultation with corporate counsel and Indian law firms.
