New York – September 6, 2024 –Cooley received seven major accolades at the 12th annual LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards. The firm’s three practice awards include recognitions as Antitrust Firm of the Year, Hatch-Waxman Litigation Firm of the Year (Branded), and Corporate Firm of the Year.
In addition to the three firmwide practice recognitions, the publication honored four Cooley partners with prestigious individual awards, naming Betsy Flanagan as General Patent Litigator of the Year (Midwest), Chad Shear as General Patent Litigator of the Year (California), Div Gupta as Corporate Attorney of the Year, and Marc Recht as Venture Capital Attorney of the Year.
LMG Life Sciences also noted the firm for its successful representation of Horizon Therapeutics in connection with its $28 billion acquisition by Amgen. Cooley successfully defended Horizon against a Federal Trade Commission challenge to the deal.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that LMG Life Sciences has honored Cooley with at least one major award.
