Cooley Named Finalist for UK Pro Bono Award

LexisNexis Legal Awards
January 23, 2025

A pro bono project out of Cooley’s London office – a housing clinic that provides legal advice to low-income tenants in East London – has been shortlisted for the Pro Bono Award of the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2025. Operating in collaboration with two UK charities, Community Links and the Mary Ward Legal Centre, the clinic strives to support and ensure access to justice for some of the most vulnerable members of society facing issues such as homelessness, eviction, serious disrepair and unsuitable housing allocation.

Approximately 70 lawyers from Cooley and its two partner firms in the endeavor, Clifford Chance and Skadden, are working on the project.
