SKIMS Acquires SKKN by Kim From Kim Kardashian and Coty

Santa Monica – March 21, 2025 – Cooley advised Kim Kardashian, an American media personality, socialite and businesswoman, on SKIMS’ acquisition of SKKN by Kim, the beauty, skincare and fragrance brand she founded, from Kardashian and Coty. SKIMS, the lifestyle company co-founded by Kardashian and Jens Grede, now consolidates Kardashian’s name, image and likeness (NIL) rights and ventures under the SKIMS brand, expanding its portfolio beyond apparel.

Lawyers Matt Hallinan, Dave Young, Julia Kim, Kyle Hess, Katie Benvenuti, Mark Cikowski, Adam Chase, Kimberly Nguyen, Liz Paisner, Matt Caplan, Stephanie Gentile, Mark Windfeld-Hansen, Calvin Lee, John Paul Oleksiuk, Ross Eberly and Austin Holt led the Cooley team advising Kardashian.

Cooley previously advised Kardashian on her $200 million strategic transaction with Coty in June 2020.
