About Aaron
Aaron Velli represents emerging growth companies and investors in such companies in various corporate and securities transactions. Aaron maintains particular expertise in the formation and operation of private equity investment partnerships, including securities laws matters, partnership terms and relevant tax, accounting and other regulatory considerations. His experience includes venture capital financings, private and public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and credit finance.
Aaron is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center where he teaches Venture Capital Finance. Aaron has also lectured at George Mason Law School, University of Maryland Business School and Vanderbilt University Business School and is a regular speaker at private equity conferences.
He was recognized as a leading lawyer for Investment Funds: Venture Capital in Chambers USA 2015 and is also a recommended lawyer for Investment fund formation and management - Private Equity Funds in Legal 500 2015.
Prior to joining Cooley, Aaron was an associate in the Corporate/Securities group at Andrews & Kurth LLP in Washington, D.C.
