About Alex
Alex practices general corporate and securities law. He represents investors and companies on matters including entity formation, venture capital and other private financings, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance.
Before joining Cooley, Alex served as a law clerk for Judge John T. Copenhaver, Jr., of the US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. During law school, he interned for Judge Randolph D. Moss of the US District Court for the District of Columbia and, later, in the Office of Rulemaking within the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance.
Before law school, Alex worked as chief of staff to the CEO of a healthcare startup in San Francisco.
