If I’m not advocating for change and progress, then you can find me championing the success of the outstanding founders and investors I get to work with every day.
About Alexander
Alex Knight serves as senior vice president, leading Cooley’s global DEI-driven business development efforts. Passionately committed to seeing a more diverse entrepreneur and venture capital ecosystem, Alex plays a vital role in elevating the Cooley platform to serve the unique challenges and opportunities of underrepresented minority founders, investors and executives. He is a “go-to” adviser and connector to Black, Latinx and other underrepresented founders of high-growth companies – assisting them with targeted introductions to venture capital, executive talent and other high-impact resources that accelerate company growth.
Aligned with Cooley’s mission of “impactful diversity,” Alex develops strategic external partnerships with organizations committed to bringing structural solutions to the structure inhibitors that have contributed to the lack of diversity we see and experience today. With community and access as the anchor, Alex leads Cooley’s Black Executive Network and Latinx Executive Network alongside a cross-office and diverse team of partners. He regularly speaks on panels to advocate for continued progress in this space, while helping to amplify the voices and stories of these unique leaders.
Prior to Cooley, Alex served in business development and marketing roles for a London-based growth consultancy firm. His experience has always been focused on winning new business, strategic client support and partnerships.
Alex is passionate about serving philanthropic organizations that positively impact racial reconciliation, education and freedom from substance abuse and addiction. He serves on the board of local and national non-profit organizations, including the High Tech Prayer Breakfast and Little Lights.
