About Alexandra
Allie is a member of Cooley’s intellectual property litigation practice group. Her practice includes patent litigation and complex commercial litigation, with a focus on cases that require in-depth comprehension of the client’s technology. She has represented clients across diverse industries, including augmented and virtual reality hardware and software, network communications technology, consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and social media.
Allie is passionate about collaborating with her clients to develop case strategies that best account for their unique technologies and litigation goals. By leveraging her master’s degree in engineering and clerkship experience at district and appellate courts, Allie pairs her deep understanding of her clients’ tech with a holistic view of the course of the litigation.
Allie has experience representing clients through all stages of litigation – from pre-suit analysis through trial and appeals – and in venues throughout the US, such as California, Texas, New York and Delaware (including the Delaware Court of Chancery), as well as before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Allie also maintains an active pro bono asylum practice and serves on the firmwide associates’ committee.
Prior to joining Cooley in 2016, Allie clerked for Judge Michelle T. Friedland in the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Lucy H. Koh in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
