About Alfred
Alfred Browne is co-chair of Cooley’s private equity practice group. He is a member of Cooley’s M&A group and co-chair of the firm’s fintech practice. His clients include private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and strategic buyers and sellers in public and private acquisitions, including leveraged buyouts and take-private transactions.
Al has experience representing a broad range of technology companies, including financial technology, software, healthcare IT, telecommunications and services companies.

Boston Magazine has named Al a Massachusetts Super Lawyer each year since 2008, and also recognized him as a Rising Star in its 2006 and 2007 editions. The Legal 500 recognized him as a recommended lawyer for his work in the M&A: large deals ($1-5 billion) category in the 2013 US edition, and in the venture capital and emerging companies category in the 2015 US edition. Chambers USA also has recognized Al as a leader in corporate/M&A law, as well as private equity and venture capital investments.
