About Alissa
Alissa Wood’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patent litigation. She has worked with a diverse range of technologies, including antibody therapeutics, medical devices, computer software, social networking and genetic engineering.
Alissa's litigation experience extends to numerous aspects of discovery, motion practice, hearing preparation, legal research, and expert witness preparation. Her practice includes biosimilars cases under the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA), as well as pro bono asylum cases.
While attending Santa Clara University School of Law, Alissa was the senior comments editor for the High Technology Law Journal. She was also a finalist in the Galloway Moot Court Criminal Law Competition, and subsequently served on the Board of the competition. Alissa was Santa Clara's nominee for the Jan Jancin Award for excellence in the study of intellectual property law, given annually by the American Intellectual Property Association. Upon graduation, Alissa received the High Technology Law Certificate, Intellectual Property Specialization, with honors.
