About Amanda

Amanda focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, product liability and securities class actions. She has significant experience advising clients on how to navigate the litigation process. She has crafted winning litigation strategies to either obtain an early dismissal or guide cases through mediations, discovery, dispositive motions, trials, and appeals. Amanda’s skill set covers all phases of litigation, including case assessment and strategy development; briefing motions in US state and federal courts; managing all aspects of discovery in complex and multidistrict litigation; negotiating mediations and settlements; handling trial preparation; and briefing appeals in courts across the United States.

Prior to joining Cooley, Amanda served in two roles at the US District Court for the Southern District of California – as a law clerk to District Judge Larry Alan Burns and as a judicial extern to Magistrate Judge Jill L. Burkhardt.

Amanda previously practiced at Winston & Strawn in San Francisco, where she focused on product liability and class action litigation.

Amanda graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, serving as managing editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
