About Andrew
Andrew is an associate in the commercial litigation group in Cooley’s London office. He has worked on a wide range of commercial disputes and has experience with High Court and international arbitration proceedings. Andrew has particular experience in the healthcare sector, working on disputes for life sciences and biotechnology companies.
Andrew also has worked on several large internal investigations and advised clients appearing before the Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
Before joining Cooley, Andrew worked for three years as a research scientist at the biotechnology firm Amgen, where he worked on a novel skin cancer treatment.
Andrew’s representative experience includes:
- Acting for two different pharmaceutical companies in High Court proceedings in relation to the conduct of two failed clinical trials – one for an allergy drug and the other for a heart failure drug
- Working for a number of different pharmaceutical and biotech companies on disputes relating to a range of different manufacturing and licensing agreements
- Representing a government in an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration regarding a long-running dispute against a national healthcare provider
- Assisting with several large and multijurisdictional internal investigations, culminating in self-reporting to the regulator or external auditors
