About Brian
Brian Leaf practices corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on representing high-growth technology and life sciences companies and the investors and investment banks involved with those companies. Brian has counseled clients in connection with registered public offerings of equity (representing both issuers and underwriters), SEC reporting and compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and other private placement financings, and general corporate counseling. He has been involved with over 50 public offering transactions, including 25+ completed IPOs, in the last five years.
Prior to joining Cooley, Brian was a Certified Public Accountant and served as an auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
While at Stanford Law School, he was an executive editor of the Stanford Law Review.
