About Carol
Carol is an associate in Cooley’s London litigation department and is part of the international product compliance and litigation team. She advises world-leading brands on product compliance and regulatory matters, with particular experience in handling large international product corrective actions and advising clients on product safety and/or compliance crises. Carol has a particular interest in policy work, as well as the changing regulatory environment for online supply chains, including specific regulation of online marketplaces.
Carol spent seven months on secondment at a global ecommerce business, providing product safety and compliance support.
Carol’s key experience includes:
- Advising clients on the implications of a number of pieces of European Union legislation for their business, both during the drafting process and after adoption – for example, the European Accessibility Act, Market Surveillance Regulation, General Product Safety Regulation and Digital Services Act
- Defending a large product compliance dispute involving multiple claimants
- Assisting a number of leading companies with the launch of innovative consumer electronic products, including liaising with legal teams across the globe
- Advising a global company on translation and packaging requirements in respect of a new product rollout
- Advising clients on the strategy for rolling out and then coordinating multijurisdictional corrective actions
