About Christine
Christine’s practice involves advising clients on the global merger control and foreign investment implications of proposed transactions, with a particular focus on obtaining clearances before the UK and European Union authorities. Christine also has extensive experience advising clients on antitrust compliance, notably in respect of distribution and licensing arrangements, as well as on cartel investigations.
In light of Christine’s experience in antitrust and foreign investment matters, she was recognised in the EU and competition category of The Legal 500 UK (2021). Christine is a member of several committees, including acting as vice chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Law Section Committee on Foreign Investment and National Security and a member of the UK government’s expert panel on the UK national security and investment screening regime.

- Amryt Pharma, an Ireland-based biopharmaceutical company, on its $1.48 billion sale to Chiesi Farmaceutici
- Horizon Therapeutics, a specialty biopharmaceutical company, on its agreement to be acquired by Amgen for approximately $28 billion
- Cincor Pharma, a biopharmaceutical company, on its agreement to be acquired by AstraZeneca for approximately $1.8 billion

- An investment consultancy firm in response to the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s asset management market study and subsequent market investigation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)
- A subsidiary of a supermajor on its competition law pleadings before the High Court in relation to the termination of a suite of agreements relating to the production and transportation of gas from offshore fields to the UK National Transmission System
- A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in a European Commission investigation into the supply of medicines
- A large telecommunications operator on an appeal before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal in relation to fair access to infrastructure and margin squeeze claims
