About Connie
Connie’s practice covers various aspects of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotechnology. She has a deep knowledge of science and decades of experience in patent prosecution.
Connie’s work focuses on patent drafting and prosecution involving both domestic and foreign patent applications. She also has experience in freedom-to-operate opinions, patentability opinions and due diligence in intellectual property transactions.
Connie is also involved in pro bono practice with a focus on immigration matters.
Before joining Cooley, Connie worked as a patent agent at a US-based international law firm, as well as in-house at a biopharmaceutical company. Additionally, she was an adjunct faculty member at Concordia University Irvine and taught introductory organic chemistry.
Connie obtained her doctorate in chemistry with a focus on bioorganic chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, under the supervision of Richard Chamberlin.
