About Dr. Cynthia
Cynthia is special counsel in Cooley's litigation department and a member of the patent counseling and prosecution practice group. Her practice in intellectual property focuses primarily in the area of biotechnology, particularly the fields of immunology, molecular biology, molecular diagnostics, plant biology, microbiology, cell biology, cancer therapeutics, virology, glycobiology, and stem cells. She advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences companies, research institutions, universities and hospitals both in developing and implementing worldwide patent strategies and regarding the prosecution, licensing, and enforcement of patents.
Prior to joining Cooley, Cynthia was a partner at Mintz Levin. Earlier in her career, she served as project manager at Strategic Diagnostics, Inc., where her responsibilities included developing immunodiagnostic reagents and managing the bioprocessing department that manufactured monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and academic organizations.
