About Gesa
Gesa focuses her practice on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, as well as managing patent portfolios in the areas of biotechnology and life sciences, in the US and abroad. She also has experience with diligences and regularly conducts freedom to operate (FTO) and patentability analyses.
Gesa’s doctoral and postdoctoral research focused on cancer research – in particular, DNA repair. She received her PhD from Newcastle University in England and was a postdoctoral research scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York for nearly three years. Gesa has worked on several drug discovery and development projects in academia and industry.
