About Heather
Heather W. Harrington has represented clients in a variety of M&A transactions involving both local and international businesses with a wide range of values, including those in excess of $2.6 billion. In the private equity and venture capital areas, she has represented both companies and investors in equity and debt offerings.
Heather’s clients include both strategic and investor buyers and sellers, primarily in private acquisitions, including private equity sponsored leveraged buyouts. She has experience representing a broad range of technology and other growth companies including software and healthcare IT, as well as retail and consumer products.
Heather's international experience includes M&A transactions involving entities in the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, the Cayman Islands, Brazil, Belgium, Germany and Canada and private equity offerings involving entities in Canada, the Bahamas, the Seychelles, Cyprus, Russia and Israel.

- Represented clients in approximately 70 M&A transactions in the software, healthcare, manufacturing, medical device, services and retail industries.
- Represented issues and private equity and venture capital funds in 80+ financings in the technology, life sciences, healthcare, services and retail industries.
Since 2009, Heather has been named by Boston Magazine as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star.
Previously, Heather practiced law at McDermott Will & Emery and Hodgson Russ. Prior to law school, she was the assistant director of the Innovations in American Government Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
