Hitesh Patel

Hitesh Patel is an eDiscovery attorney and manager in the Litigation and eDiscovery Services team and member of the Cooley litigation department. Hitesh’s practice focuses on electronic discovery law and management of electronically stored information in litigation.

Hitesh advises clients to improve their understanding and management of eDiscovery demands, reducing risks and costs through the use of technology and efficient, defensible workflows. With extensive experience across all phases of discovery, during his career he has worked on a variety of matters including large scale litigation projects, regulatory matters and internal investigations. His counseling work includes advising on eDiscovery preparedness; implementing defensible preservation and collection practices; and management of the entire eDiscovery lifecycle through production and disposition.

Prior to joining Cooley, Hitesh was a member of the eDiscovery departments at Paul, Weiss and Crowell & Moring. Hitesh received his JD from the University of Iowa School of Law and his BA in political science from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bars.
