About Ian
Ian Schattner is Cooley's director of eDiscovery analytics and an attorney in the litigation and eDiscovery services department. Ian counsels clients on eDiscovery law and management, with a focus on leveraging advanced technology to streamline process. He also oversees Cooley's in-house document collection team and document review staff attorneys. His experience includes managing all aspects of eDiscovery, including assisting Cooley clients in responding to regulatory investigations and civil litigation. His counseling work focuses on proactive discovery readiness, eDiscovery project management, effective data preservation under legal hold, and compliance with relevant rules and case law.
Ian received his JD, cum laude, from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2007 and his BA in history from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2004. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland State Bars.
