About Jaime
Jaime Chase represents clients in a variety of corporate and securities laws matters, with an emphasis on the representation of late-stage private and public companies. She has experience in M&A and public and private capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, primary and secondary offerings and private placements.
Jaime counsels public and private companies and their boards of directors on corporate governance, securities laws matters, financial reporting and disclosure issues and ongoing reporting obligations. She also represents companies in initial public offerings and follow-on securities offerings as well as other equity and debt financings, primarily in the life sciences industry.
Prior to joining Cooley, Jaime was a senior associate with Hogan Lovells. She also served as associate general counsel at Stanley, Inc., a Virginia-based government contractor, where she co-led the company’s initial public offering, and was also responsible for all corporate, tax and securities matters, including corporate governance, securities offerings, compliance with federal securities laws, and compliance with state and local tax laws.
Prior to her legal career, Jaime worked as a senior tax consultant at Deloitte & Touche. She maintains her license as a certified public accountant in Virginia.
