About James
James is a patent technical advisor training towards qualification as a chartered (UK) and European patent attorney in Cooley’s London office. His practice involves a diverse portfolio of patents in the life sciences sector, and he has experience with therapeutic agent delivery compositions, nucleic acid sequencing and agricultural nanotechnology in his drafting and prosecution work.
Before joining Cooley, James graduated with an integrated master’s degree in natural sciences and a PhD in biomolecular sciences. His doctoral research focused on key molecular mechanisms driving blood vessel growth under physiological and pathological conditions, aiming to understand how endothelial receptor crosstalk influences vascular growth.
Outside of the office, James pursues an array of sports, including bouldering and running, often participating in races of varying distances.
