About Jasmine
Xiaomin (Jasmine) focuses her practice on patent counseling and prosecution. She concentrates on advising clients in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices in relation to global patent strategy and patent life cycle management. She is particularly experienced in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, virology and genetics.
Before joining Cooley, Jasmine was an associate at Wiley Rein. Jasmine holds a PhD in immunology and microbiology from the University of Rochester, where her research focused on neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases. Jasmine also received postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco, where she developed gene therapies for Parkinson’s disease. Her research is published in the Journal of Neuroscience, PLOS One and Molecular Therapy, among others.Education
