About Jeff
Jeff Gutkin's practice focuses on class action defense, internet privacy litigation, corporate commercial disputes and other complex business litigation matters. He has defended clients in a broad variety of class actions and multidistrict litigations. These matters have spanned numerous industries, including social networking, computer graphics, online advertising, energy, prescription drugs and medical devices. Jeff has represented numerous technology companies, including Facebook, Google, eBay and NVIDIA.
Jeff has also represented prominent companies in the energy sector, including Pacific Gas & Electric and Iberdrola Renewables, as well as medical companies, including Covidien (formerly Tyco Healthcare) and Onyx Pharmaceuticals.
Shortly after joining Cooley, Jeff took a leave to serve as a law clerk to Judge Samuel Conti of the US District Court for the Northern District of California. He served part of his clerkship in New York City, while Judge Conti sat by designation on the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
