About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Karr litigates patent and trade secret cases involving a variety of technologies, including semiconductor manufacturing, cellular telephone equipment, antiviral and cancer drugs, genetically modified agricultural products, computer software and hardware and GPS technology. He has also handled complex contract disputes, copyright cases, partnership disputes, securities cases and regulatory enforcement proceedings.
Jeffrey’s cases include:
- Hoffman-La Roche v. Gilead Sciences, Inc. – Counsel for Gilead in contract and patent case involving antiviral drug
- ParkerVision v. Qualcomm – Counsel for Qualcomm in patent suit involving direct down-conversion circuitry in wireless transceivers
- Onyx Pharmaceuticals v. Bayer – Counsel for Onyx in dispute arising out of parties' collaboration to discover and develop anti-cancer compounds
- Revance Therapeutics v. Medicis Pharmaceuticals – Counsel for Revance in dispute arising out of a collaboration agreement with Medicis to develop topical drug product
- Gabriel Technologies v. Qualcomm – Counsel for Qualcomm in patent inventorship and trade secrets dispute regarding assisted-GPS technology.
- Qualcomm v. Panasonic – Counsel for Qualcomm in International Arbitration involving dispute over patent license agreement
- Qualcomm v. Nokia – Counsel in Qualcomm's global patent licensing dispute with Nokia, including International Arbitration, Delaware Chancery Court action, and patent litigation in Eastern District of Texas
