About John

John represents pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life sciences companies in a wide range of IP-related and commercial transactions, including licensing agreements, research collaborations and strategic partnering agreements.

Earlier in his career, John focused on patent prosecution and counseling for a wide range of life sciences companies. John managed worldwide patent prosecution, analyzed patent validity and freedom to operate issues and provided client leadership with advice regarding developing and protecting their IP assets and related commercial strategies.

John teaches a course on intellectual property law at Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering. He also advises student-led biomedical engineering teams on IP strategy and corporate formation considerations.
