About John

John focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution in applied physics and electromechanical systems, with an emphasis on medical device technologies. His technical experience includes medical devices, medical imaging, medical ablation technologies, diagnostics, sensors, robotics, aerospace and artificial intelligence.

John has a background in biomedical engineering and medical physics. He has worked on techniques for high-intensity ultrasound ablation and developed computed tomography (CT) tubes for startup companies. John has also worked for large corporations on stents, kidney stone retrieval baskets, blood glucose monitoring devices and robotic systems.

For his master’s thesis, John researched the impact of metal artifact reduction (MAR) algorithms on radiotherapy treatment for cancer patients having unilateral or bilateral implants such as hip or dental implants. John currently is a JD candidate (anticipated 2027) attending Chicago-Kent College of Law.
