About Josh

Josh represents high-growth companies and their investors from formation through exit. His clients primarily work in frontier technologies, including crypto and financial tech, deep tech, artificial intelligence and biotech. Josh has substantial experience representing issuers and investors in private company financings, as well as buyers and sellers in M&A. He also regularly advises clients on general corporate issues, securities matters and the implications of proposed business transactions.

Before joining Cooley, Josh was associate general counsel at Paradigm, a crypto-focused investment firm, where he managed legal and strategic matters related to the firm’s investments, portfolio companies, transactions and operations. He was also previously an investor and managing partner at Dorm Room Fund, leading the fund’s operations, deal flow and community-building initiatives.

He received the Gloria W. Appel Award for Outstanding Leadership in Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
