About Katelyn
Katelyn Kimber is a partner in the fund formation practice group. A significant portion of her practice focuses on the structuring, formation, maintenance, governance and regulation of US domestic and international venture capital funds, private equity funds, hybrid funds, funds of funds, real estate funds and other private investment vehicles. She also counsels private fund sponsors and strategic, anchor and other investors on legal and transactional matters that arise throughout the lifecycle of a private fund. This includes years of experience navigating secondary transactions for the sale of single interests through to large, diversified portfolios, across a wide range of vintages and investment strategies.
While at the Georgetown University Law Center, she was senior editor of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy and focused her research and articles on securities and tax law and their impact on the economy, market access and entrepreneurialism.
